Commitment

by Mary
(Philadelphia, PA)

Question:
Can you give me some criteria for deciding whether a man is committed to you if legal marriage is not what you want?

Answer:
Well Mary, it's all according to what you two decide and have agreed upon. Remember marriage starts with the heart and mind. Both of your actions speak far more louder than words.

For starters communication is key. If there is something you feel that needs to be addressed, then you should talk about it. Is he doing the things that you want? Are you doing the things that he wants? Again, action speaks louder than words.

And never let anyone tell you because you're not married that you're not committed. If the both of you made an agreement, well then it's a commitment.

I hope I've answered your question. Take care and all the best.
