What are Unhealthy Relationships? Are you in one?

Tired of unhealthy relationships?

Clear signs of a relationship that's becoming unhealthy may include signs of abusive behavior.

This may include physical or mental abuse.

If your partner continually criticizes everything you do or say this is not a sign of a good relationship.

Another clear sign of as mentioned before somewhere is being controlling.

This can mean controlling anything in your life from who you see and talk to, where you are allowed to go, to being told what to do all the time.

  • If your partner is over jealous or extremely possessive this is also not a sign of a loving relationship.
  • If you are continually being put down, being dictated to or being ignored by your partner this is a clear sign that something is wrong in the relationship.
  • Or something just plain and simple as you're just not a good match.
  • Any of the above are signs indicate that changes have to be made or you have to leave that relationship.

If you are just starting out in a dating relationship, then it is essential to put your foot down at the first sign of any of the above.

And talk to your partner to establish boundaries, which can be worked on towards changing the relationship.

Any abusive behavior may be treated differently of course. Sometimes changes can be made in a relationship and that relationship can be turned around.

Other times there may be no other option but to walk away from the relationship if it cannot be changed.
