Ice Cream Sundaes

My best teenage date was an ice cream date with my boyfriend. I was a senior in high school and he was in college. He didn't have a car, and we'd walk the streets to be together. It was cold this particular Friday evening, but we went into Myers, our favorite old fashioned ice cream parlor, where it always seemed warm.
There was a waitress in there who knew us and started making our favorite sundaes as soon as she saw us come in and walk to our back booth. That night he asked me if I'd like him to take me to my senior prom. Very romantic and warm even on a cold night!
