How Should I Deal With My Friends That Dissaprove of my Relationship?

by Joan

Visitors Question:
I am in a very happy relationship and I am very much in love with my boyfriend. However, we do not have a conventional relationship, and my friends disapprove of some of the things he does even though they don't upset me.

They think that he is walking all over of me and taking advantage of the fact that I am an understanding person, and that I am letting him get away with things I shouldn't. However, I don't think this is true. What can I do to convince my friends that my relationship is good and that I am not a pushover?

Answer:
Well Joan, there isn't anything you can do to persuade your friends or anyone else. If you're happy with the way things are going, and you feel you have everything under control, well it's your life. You do what you feel is right for you no matter what anyone thinks.

There's always going to be people that's not going to like something about you or the way you live your life. Sometimes time bring people up to speed with situations.

I hope I've answered your question. Take care and all the best.
